Katelijne Baetens

Katelijne Baetens is a doctor and communications expert. She is affiliated with the faculty of medicine at the University of Antwerp, where she helped develop the communications program. She believes that clear communication is good for the health of patients and healthcare providers.

That is why she gives lectures and workshops about the importance of good communication in healthcare. Her approach is creative, experience-oriented and practical. Learning something new works best in a safe, open atmosphere. So there is plenty of room for laughter and experimentation.

Katelijne has trained many healthcare professionals ( reception staff, physiotherapists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, doctors) and patients in communication. She has experience in hospitals, general practices, residential care centers and other healthcare institutions.

She is a passionate advocate for good communication in healthcare. She is convinced that communication can improve the quality of care and enrich the patient experience.

As the founder of ‘Communicating in Healthcare’, she wants to make the art of clear communication accessible to more healthcare providers. She does this together with the best communication trainers she has met over the years.
